FAISALABAD: Federal Minister for Trade Makhdoom Amin Fahim has said that the security situation in the country is not in a state in which holding of by-polls could not be possible, but added that a final decision in this regard has to be made by the Election Commission.
He said this while talking to media on the occasion of addressing the industrialists of at Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce.
Amin Fahim asked the Prime Minister to push for increased access in the international markets with an aim to boost trade, saying Pakistan has spent billions of rupees on war against terrorism.
He said Election Commission has the authority to postpone by-polls. However, he added, the security situation in the country are normal, and improving with time.
