ISLAMABAD: Three hundred million and thirty thousand internally displaced persons from South Waziristan have arrived in Tank and Dera Ghazi Khan due to ongoing operation Rah-e-Nijat. These IDPs have been registered, UN official, Martin Maganja said on Thursday.
The UN official said this while speaking at a press conference. He said that camps have not been set up in Tank and Dera Ghazi Khan.
The UN official told the reporters that representatives of UN Secretary General have arrived in Pakistan to devise a future strategy after meeting with the Pakistani officials and members of civil society.
