ISLAMABAD: Police killed an alleged terrorists at a police check post in Sector F-11, foiling a suicide attack attempt here on Sunday, IG police Islamabad said.

Police has claimed to have recovered a suicide jacket which was on the body of the attacker.

According to IG Islamabad, the suicide attacker dismounted from a black-coloured double cabin vehicle and chanted ‘Allahu Akbar’ near a police check post in Sector F-11 and started advancing towards the check post. The police personnel present there sprung to action and fired at the man, killing him on the spot.

However, he said, the three helpers of the bomber managed to escape from the scene while the bomb disposal squad has successfully defused the explosives found in the suicide jacket.
