KARACHI: Awami National Party (ANP) leader Asfandyar Wali has said Pakistan is not going through any crisis at present and that the Government withdrew from National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) as per the nation’s will without making it a matter of ego.
Talking to Geo News in Karachi Sunday during a Wlima reception, Wali said two big political parties of the country inked Charter of Democracy (CoD), however national political stream should also involve the issues of the small parties.
‘Constitution has suffered many violation since 1977, and a timeframe of two months should be set to restore it in its original spirit.’
When questioned on 58-2B and 17th Amendment, said, ‘First time in the history of Pakistan efforts are underway to shift powers to institutions from persons.’
‘There should be no role of emotions except patience and tolerance, when it comes to decision making.’
Small political parties should also be given their due share in national politics, he added.
