Pillion riding ban extended by 10 days in Peshawar


PESHAWAR: The ban on pillion riding in provincial capital Peshawar of NWFP province has been extended for 10 more days, Geo news reported on Wednesday.

DCO Peshawar Sahabzada Muhammad Anees said the decision came in spirit of maintenance of law an order situation in Peshawar.

He said the ban on pillion riding will merely be applicable upon men, youths but women, children, senior citizens and journalists will be exceptions.

It is worth of mention the section 144 for an indefinite period is imposed in Peshawar for last several days due to rising incidents of terrorism in provincial capital, thus banning the display of arms and holding marches and rallies.
