Power load shedding continues in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: Prolonged power outages Sunday continued to plague NWFP province including Peshawar and its suburbs.

According to PESCO spokesperson, Shaukat Afzal, the total demand for electricity in
NWFP has reached up to 2600 MW against the total supply of 1812 MW.

The power shortfall of 788 MW has caused people living in Peshawar to suffer 6 to 8 hour-long power outages, while in suburbs of Peshawar load shedding lasts for 8 to 10 hours.

Load-shedding continues to exceed the 10-hour duration in many parts of NWFP, which
is preventing people from living normal course of life.
