GILGIT: Power supply is still suspended in Skardu and its suburbs for 7th straight day, after the technical glitch appeared in Wapda hydal power station I and II situated at Sadpara Dam, Geo News reported Sunday.

Skardu is facing a shortfall of 12 MW as WAPDA power houses remain entirely shut.

The electricity department is providing electricity to some important offices and government officials from Kachora power house, whereas the people in entire city are suffering from power failure since past 7 days.

WAPDA has used sub-standard machinery at Sadpara power house, which causes technical faults every now and then, the department stated.
