Dancing with the stars results week 7:

This week marked yet another double elimination week on Dancing with the Stars.  The star with the lowest score would just go home, while the next two lowest scores would battle it out in a last chance dance to impress the judges.  Tonight the bottom three consisted of:

Mark Dacascos and Lacey (Anna T) - Lacey had been sick and was unable to perform last night, having Anna T fill in for her.  However all the changes in partners and lack of practice seemed to hurt Mark’s performance.  This is not to say that Anna T caused him to score lower, but it sure didn’t help that he had to learn two dances in a very short amount of time since his parter was sick.

Michael Irvin & Anna D - With the second lowest scores last night, it’s not much of a surprise that Michael and Anna were in the bottom two.  Even though Michael has been improving from week to week, he is still scoring consistently lower than most of the other contestants.  He saved himself in the dance off last week, but could he do it again this week?  First we would have to see if he even had the chance to save himself.

Aaron Carter & Karina - The look on Aaron’s face when the announcement was made said it all - how could the second highest scoring person end up in the bottom three?  It seems that while the judges liked him, his fans did not pull him through.  Let this be a reminder that you have to vote!  Viewers cannot just assume that the top scorers are safe!

Send one couple home, and send two to the Dance Off:

For one of these three couples, the journey ended instantly.  For the other two, they would get to participate in the dance off and hope the judges save them.  The couple with the lowest score, and therefore going straight home, was Michael Irving and Anna.  This left Aaron vs Mark in the Dance Off.  With Aaron scoring so much higher last night, it seemed like he wouldn’t have to do much to beat Mark.

Mark and Lacey performed first with the Cha Cha.  Lacey was feeling well enough to perform this dance that they had started preparing two weeks ago.  Len said Mark was back to his best and it was clean and sharp.  Bruno said Mark could “turn more tricks than Heidi Fleiss” .  Carrie Ann was glad to see Mark back to what she was used to seeing him do.

Aaron and Karina were next with a Jive.  Since he did so well in the Jive last night, he was hoping he could impress the judges again tonight.  Aaron brought the same energy as last night, perhaps even more this time!  Bruno said he couldn’t believe Aaron was even in the bottom two, and he said his Jive was as good as last night.  Carrie Ann went a step up to say this Jive was BETTER than last night.  Len called him the “come back kid” and said his Jive was right on the money.

It may have been obvious to the viewers who would be eliminated, but the judges still had to officially announce their choices.  Carrie Ann said they are both incredible, Len said they both danced fantastically well, and Bruno said they came back with the “attitude of champions“.  However well they both have done tonight, the judges unanimously saved Aaron and Karina tonight.  They will be back next week!  But you have to vote if you want them to stay around longer!  Mark Dascascos, the Iron Chef Host, was eliminated tonight.

The Entertainment:

Of course the show must be jammed with entertainment or else viewers will never make it the full hour!  Team Tango kicked off tonight’s double elimination results show with a repeat of their performance from last night’s show.  Next up, Colbie Caillat performed her song “Fallin’ for You” while Alec Mazo and Edyta performed.

Professional Dancers Derek Hough and Mark Ballas performed their brand new single from their new band known as “Ballas Hough”.  The song “Move” had them dancing like a ’90s boy band with some backup dancers.  Finally, Rod Stewart sang “It’s the Same Old Song” from his brand new bestselling album.  He was accompanied by some professional dancers but they didn’t look like anyone from the show.

Down to Five:

Only five couples remain in this season of Dancing with the Stars.  Who will make it to the top four?  Tune in to ABC next Monday and Tuesday to find out!

Dancing with the stars elimination tonight:

On Monday night’s episode of “Dancing with the Stars,” we got to see the final seven couples perform their dances, in the hope of staying in the competition for at least another week. And last night, was the live results show, which included another double elimination.

Before we got to find out who was eliminated, we got to see performances by Rod Stewart, country singer Colbie Caillat and Ballas Hough, which is the rock group created by pro-dancers Mark Ballas and Derek Hough. Then it was time to hear who was going home.

And according to The Associated Press, it was Michael Irvin and Mark Dacascos that got eliminated this week. Irvin danced the foxtrot on Monday night and scored his highest score of the season. But it obviously wasn’t good enough for the public, as they voted him off.

Mark Dacascos on the other hand, lost his chance to stay in the competition during his last-ditch dance-off. Mark, who says that staring on the show is one of the greatest experiences of his life, danced the samba on Monday night, but only scored 19 points.
