DI KHAN: The migration of displaced persons to Dera Ismail Khan and Tank from conflict-affected South Wazristan continues while arrangements have been made to commence classes for women in arts centre from tomorrow.

Free treatments have so far been provided to over 3,000 affectees at central relief camp.

The educational activities for children of IDPs are being undertaken in DI Khan and Tank while technical education is being imparted to over 300 persons in technical centre set up in Dera Sports Stadium.

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League (PML-Q) President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi Friday said N-League is responsible for the economic devastation in Punjab.

Addressing the parliamentary party in Lahore, he said now the cultivators of sugarcane would weep followed by the paddy farmers, adding previously the queues for atta took the lives of poor people; now, the buyers of sugar are being baton-charged.

The PML-Q leaders said the Assemblies are being turned into an arena to take the people’s attention off from inflation, lawlessness and unemployment; but, the people can no more be misled and beguiled.

The farmers spending heavy amounts of money on the seeds and fertilizers, are not being paid back even for their hard work, adding the people would not forgive those who pushed the prosperous province under debt and would force them to pay off in full.
