ISLAMABAD: James Jones, the advisor to US National Security Council (NSC) has held meetings with political and army leaderships of Pakistan, Geo News reported Friday.
Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gillani and James Jones exchanged views on Pak-US bilateral relations, war on terror, expansion of law enforcement agencies and Pak-Afghan strategy.
The US NSC advisor also met with Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Defense Minister Ahmed Mukhtar, Interior Minister Rehman Malik and US ambassador to Pakistan, Anne W. Patterson along with other dignitaries in the same meeting at the PM House.
NSC advisor General (Rtd) James Jones has also held a meeting with Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani to switch views on common-interest operations at the GHQ, Rawalpindi.
Foreign Minister Pakistan, Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Mr. Jones discussed about pursuing Pak-US cooperation on war against terror, Pak-Afghan border operations, stability and peace in the region here at the foreign office.
